I received a text message (Friday 24 Aug, 2018) stating that I had registered with Survey Monkey and had been selected to participate in a Walmart survey. I was informed I would be paid $300.00 per survey. I was told to acknowledge that I had received the message and my readiness to participate in the survey, to Mr David Steinberg (Neighborhood research, Inc.) I acknowledged. On Monday, I received a text message stating that the package with instructions and a check should be delivered by Tuesday. Again I was to acknowledge receipt of the message and readiness to start, again I replied to the affirmative. On Monday afternoon I received the package, it contained a letter with instructions and a check for $1,390.00.

I was contacted by text August 4, 2018 saying I had applied for secret shopper online for Walmart. They would send me an overnight cashier’s check and se$1390. Buy $90 in personal items at Walmart, take picture of receipt. Buy two Walmart gift cards for $500 each, scratch off the numbers on the back of card, take a picture of it all and text to them and take the remaining $300 for compensation. I received the cashier’s check and it looks real.

I received a text informing me I had been selected to be a secret shopper. I then received *** envelope with an instruction letter and a cashiers check in the amount of $1750. I was to deposit the check and within 24 hrs to make purchases at the local *** $50 in personal use items and $1400 in *** gift cards. I was to take a picture of the receipts, gift cards and card numbers. The pictures and my evaluation were to be submitted by text message.
