Type of a scam Employment

Posted an ad on craigslist for a hotel concierge job. After sending my resume in, I got a call back about it being for a hotel concierge/security job and was set up for an appointment the next day. The business in question turned out to be a vocational service and not a direct employer, and the address given was across the street from the hotel listed in the ad. After filling out some paperwork (which asked for address and social security number for a supposed background check), I payed a $125 "registration fee" and was told to come back in a few days to pay for the training required to be a security guard. After researching the typical prices of these courses, however, I found that they prices they were charging were much higher than what I was being asked to pay.
