Type of a scam Government Grant
Random call from New York, NY. Told me I qualified for 280k grant for small business. Gave me a number for the “World Bank” to verify funds in my name. Told it would cost 24k but I could use my 401k to secure it. I did not call and verify anything….caller persistently tried to call me back. Stated his name was Steven Clark and that he was from National Grants.

I was called and a Bill James with a deep voice left a message to call back. I returned the call and a man with a Spanish accent said he was Bill. I was told I was approved for a $180,000 federal grant. I was told to call the World Bank at 202-888-3930, then press Option #1. I was to enter account #942131924, with PIN #0102, then press 0 to talk to a real person. Apparently due to the Patriot Act, I had to first pay $15,000 to get the $180,000 grant which would be totally free. I would get the $15,000 back. I took down all this information so I could report them to you.
