Type of a scam Scholarship

Richard Paterson of National Federal Grants (is what he told us), meets with you in person and gives you this quick rundown of what he can offer you and asks for a down payment $300 in order for him to submit a grant to 2 prime companies that will be closing their grant date in just a few days. After getting the money he wasn’t able to print the grant like he said to give to us to mail, so he says he did it himself. We never got anything proving that nor any emails regarding the communication that he claims he’s had with the company. He finally sent via email a copy of the grant that he submitted to these companies. He keeps saying that he needs money for this and that but still no results of anything. The last straw for me was when he asked us to send him money via Western Union because he had just gotten out of the hospital and couldn’t meet in person because he had received word via email that we were approved on a small grant the he submitted via computer and never sent us anything. Then when we sent it he calls saying that the person he asked to pick it up got a boot on her car and she used to money to remove the boot and we would have to send more. It was then that I got upset and realized he was taking advantage of us. We haven’t received any emails, phone calls or other forms of communication from him since then. Also, he is not living in MS, he is in Chicago, IL and using phone # 312-343-5749. I felt compelled to say something cause its a shame that people want to take advantage of other people. Thanks for your time, and have a great day.
