Caller asked for a donation for veterans of Afghanistan. I asked for their web address and they gave www.nationalassistancecommittee.org
He then asked for a 15 dollar donation. He then asked whether I was 100% sure about making that donation. When I responded "yes", he said just one moment. I hung up immediately, recognizing it might be one of those scams that tries to get you to respond "yes". His question about whether I was 100% certain about the donation raised alarms as well. I just answered before I realized what might be happening. This guy was slick. There was no identifiable phone number on my caller ID.
