Type of a scam Identity Theft
This person requested my English to Spanish services through www.translatorbase.com asking to translate a document with a due date of may 25/2018. I took the project and the conversation went on fine. I got the document that displays no entity at all (company, organization, business, etc.). I informed the supposed client about the total cost of the translation project. She (the scammer) said that my quote was not a problem and asked for my full name, address and phone number to mail the total payment in advance for the translation. This raised my suspicion, so I requested the name of the organization and/or company she represented. To this point I have got no answer. I searched online for this person and email, "Nancy Bill" and "[email protected] and found out that "she/he" has been around the internet targeting translators and asking for personal information. Even now, Apr 19, 2018 whoever she/he is, just contacted me by text, saying that ‘maybe’ she would provide the name of the business/organization/company she represents. I haven’t lost any money but everything points to steal my ID. This is a scam, hope something can be done to stop this person.
