Mylife has taken upon themselves to give a reputation score. Upon reviewing this website, which I had to pay to look at what information people were displaying on the web. This site is reporting inaccurate information about my court records. I have never been arrested and I have never been to court for any offense criminal or civil. I called the company to correct the issue and they said I should apologize. There was no type of resolution offered by the company nor did they change the wrong information that could be harmful to somebody’s reputation. This site should be forced to remove any and all inaccurate information that may be harmful to a persons reputation.

The website posted false, inaccurate, and otherwise misleading information about me. I attempted to follow the steps on the website in order to manage my personal information but the site ran several scans (God only knows what was installed on my computer during the scans) it brought me to a page where I was asked to purchase a subscription. A couple of days later I tried to email them but was only sent an email referring me to a FAQ page which again recommends that I purchase an account in order to manage my information, limit who can see it, etc. Mylife operates on a mafia-style business model. The mafia would send out its thugs to harass people and then ask them to pay the mafia for protection against any further harassment. The information on mylife is defamatory and has likely already impacted my career and life in ways that I cannot even know. Of course, they add a caveat somewhere that they cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information but that’s just a convenient cop out and shouldn’t free them from legal liability. ScamPulse.com says that they will contact mylife but also recommends that I contact my local district attorney.

this site(MyLife.com) releases full detailed info about you and your loved ones, they are into much more as I learned while looking them up on here. They offer you the option to get it removed for the cost of 1.00USD. As I read off the information for customer support to find my information on the site since he said it doesn’t show on his end he repeated it back to me wrong two times in a row, which then I ended the phone call. To everyone out there who isn’t aware of this site and or respects privacy, I suggest you act upon this as well.

Type of a scam Phishing

First, most of the information on this website is false.

Secondly, I signed up for the three day trial for $1. I read the fine print carefully and it said nothing about any additional charges. After the trial period, I was charged $54.95 for a "subscription" that I did not authorize. I called their customer service number, but they claimed they could not locate my account or find any information about my credit card that they had charged. They asked the last four of my credit card and expiration, then claimed they needed the first four of my credit card also, since they were unable to find it in their system. Needless to say, I did not give them the first four digits of my card. I had to report this charge as fraud to my credit card company, which they reversed.

Lastly, even after paying $1 for the three day trial period, I did not receive further access to any information and it all remained incorrect.

This website maliciously gathers personal information, regardless of accuracy, from public sources and compiles it neatly for bad actors to access – making it easier for them to act upon. Further, the company deceptively makes consumers believe that by paying, they (the customer) are now in control of their information when in actuality paying for the membership not only confirms personal information (phishing), but also enriches the company in the process. The company also makes it impossible to remove personal information from their site as the customer service number never connects you with a representative – you wait for over 30 minutes and then the system disconnects you.

Mylife.com sends constant emails to me advising that my reputation is at risk, if I pay them they will make sure that my reputation is restored. I have been employed by a reputable company for over 20 years and have excellent credit history. I may be retaining an attorney to sue this company by harassing me continuously over my "reputation score" by suggesting it is low.

Type of a scam Phishing

This website collected and posted very personal information about me, INCLUDING residential addresses, emails and phone numbers.

In addition this site has connected me with someone else who operates a business and happens to be African American (I am not in fact African American, nor have I ever owned a business)

I did not authorize that this website place the information online, and this puts me at risk for identity theft, fraud and possibly even personal harm. It is IMPOSSIBLE to remove a profile on this site, in fact the entire process just adds MORE personal data for them to post publicly, and the profile remains online. The link to remove profiles is not functional and currently ANYONE can attempt to defraud or harm me, thanks to this UNAUTHORIZED website. Aside from filing this scam alert, I have also reported them to the ScamPulse.com and hope to finally get this issue resolved.

BE VERY WARY…this website will put YOUR personal information out there for anyone to see and potentially use for harm.

The link to have my information removed is disabled. I signed up for their site to "take control" of my page, only to find that it still wouldn’t let me change inaccurate information, and it wanted me to pay them to hide my private information. This should be illegal. It also looks as if my ex-wife claimed the page long ago, because it is linked to her mylife page, and it has her maiden name as my username. This website posting all of my information could lead to identity theft.
