Type of a scam Online Purchase
Received a folded card in mailbox. On front it states: SUMMARY OF TERMS – 2018 HYUNDAI. My address name is misspelled. I’ve received similar scams. I called their number and talked to someone from "Vehicle Services". I asked if they were with Hyundai, and they said "no". I told them I just received a card from them which states "HYUNDAI". I asked if they had permission to use the Hyudai name. She replied "no", that they are Vehicle Services. Since they referred to a 2018 Hyundai that I own, I asked which vehicle they contacted me about. "Hyundai". I asked what Hyundai did I own. She then wanted my name and address. I told her I was not going to provide any personal information. I asked if they will delete "my" file after 9/24/2018 as stated on their "notice". She said "yes" and I asked how do you know which file to delete not knowing my name or vehicle. She said they were just trying to protect my new vehicle warranty. I asked if she knew what New Car Warranty I had, and how many miles were on my vehicle. She said she didn’t know, and that I could decline the offer, and said "I hope you have a fine day".
