MY MOVING CHANGES

I noticed a charge for $79.95 on my bank statement for "My Moving Changes." After looking online, it seems that this scam impersonates the USPS change-of-address website and instead of authorizing the $1.00 change of address charge, you pay $79.95. I never authorized this amount at any point and was sure I was using the USPS website, as I have done a change-of-address request multiple times before. Not clear how this happened but My Moving Changes is absolutely a scam business.

I thought I was on a United States Postal Service website. I was scammed out of $160 because they are charging a monthly fee of $80 for my address change.

I moved yesterday and thought I was just simply changing my address through USPS postal service. I was then redirected and went to enter in my credit card information which is normally a $1.05 charge, which they never even indicated the amount that would be charged, but it was $79.95. My bank called me the next day to let me know fraudulent activity occurred on my account. I contacted my moving changes to tell the man what had happened. All I wanted was for my mail to be forwarded to my next address. He said all he could do for me was to give me 50% off. Moving is already expensive and stressful and this is ridiculous they would not reverse it out completely. This is not what I wanted to sign up for in the first place and is not a good way to run a business. Not happy!

I am moving from one city to another here in Texas. It is stressful enough to be moving and contacting companies online to get things cancelled and set up. I went to the uspostal website to change my address. I can’t explain how but I did the address and somehow this company linked in or over and they ended up with my credit card information and have charged me $79.95 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The US post office is supposed to charge $1.50 for this service.

This company now has my debit card information and my new and old mailing address.

My moving changes pretended to be USPS change of address website. Took debit card info like USPS does to charge about 1$ to verify you are the resident at that address to give permission to change it. But my moving changes was actually a fake USPS website that charged me $80, and I am afraid they will steal more from me!

The company appears if you search for changing your address with the USPS. Their website implies its officially the USPS and they never mention they will charge you $79.95 for a simple change of address. If you call them, all they will offer is 50% refund.
