Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I am selling a generator on craigslist, and was messaged by an individual with an offer to purchase for well over asking, if I cashed a cashier’s check. Their message is copied below:
**I ‘m Mr Richard. Really looking forward to buy from you. I plan on overnighting a Certified check to you. Am willing to pay an extra $100 to get this done . Once payment is processed and cleared the Bank, My Carrier firm (Movers) will come over for pick up. Please advise if we can work this out. Thanks**
