Type of a scam Online Purchase
This scam is identical to the one I reported yesterday concerning a text message from a Craigslist ad. The telephone number, 213-262-5219, Whittier, California(same area as prior number). Tried to call number and got a voicemail message(no name), likely Mpower, given the text was identical, explaining their recent notice of my auto ad on Craigslist, and using the exact words describing their interest and their desire for a car fax be done through a particular company, "http://sguo.carverify.link?ship" and then "email to "[email protected]" . I am absolutely convinced this is a national scam and that there are many honest people losing 12.95 for a wasted car fax for an imposter "interested party."
