I managed to get a refund for the Z-Flex tripod head, but only after contacting my bank to conduct a charge back. I had to provide evidence that Modern Filmware was aware of my issue, and thankfully I save all emails like this. Early on, this company replied that they were working on getting this item to me after I complained. I understand Covid 19 caused a lot of problems with merchants everywhere, but there is no excuse for this. At the very least they could contact me with updates on their operations. It certainly sounds like a scam to me, no matter their intentions.

I ordered a Z-flex tilt tripod head, a pan track slider, and a cellphone mount from this company on April 17, 2020. I paid $117.18 which they charged to my credit card right away. I never received a shipping notice or tracking number from the,. When I emailed asking for one I got this email back:

Our apologies if there have been delays. We are glad to inform you that your order is now being processed as of writing. You should receive the tracking details as soon as available.

However, I never got a tracking number, a shipping confirmation, or any of the times I ordered. They never shipped anything.

Now my Mcafee anti-virus flags their domain as a scam.

NEVER order from this company or any company offering similar products. The products do not exist and the company is engaging in fraud.

They registered their domain privately, but you can report them to the registrar like I did at [email protected]

I also purchased the Z Flex Tilt Head, and received the same message that they would contact me later about a shipping date, but there would be a delay due to the pandemic. The item charged to my account on May 4th of this year, and now they do not respond to my emails at all. It appears to be a scam, and I’m pursuing the matter with my bank. I ordered a Z Flex Tilt Head from this “company”, receiving this confirmation e mail of order number 6632 at a cost of 34.95 US$ on April 18, 2020
“We’re getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.”

Since I had received no additional information 11 days later, I requested a ship date from the “company” and received the following (standard) response on April 29, 2020
“Currently, we are experiencing a high demand of backlogged orders due to logistics being delayed because of the Corona virus pandemic. Rest assured we are working to fulfill and get your order to you as soon as possible.
We’ll send your tracking details once it’s ready to ship.
Thanks for your support and understanding!”

This, my last e mail to the “company” on June 14, 2020 remains unanswered!
“It is now 2 months since I placed my order. You have had my money all that time, yet I have had nothing! I have been looking forward to using this item with my DSLR camera but I am now considering a cancellation. Please provide me with a shipment date so I can make a decision”

As everyone has said, ordered, paid and have yet to receive product. Initial email response said they are experiencing delays so, again like everyone else, I have given them the benefit of the doubt. I emailed again a couple weeks ago asking for refund if they did not intend to fulfill order and have not received a reply. Don’t buy.

Saw modern filmware’s advertisement on instagram and fell for the trap. Got myself and my friend some products worth over USD $47.90. I ordered them in April and it’s July now and I havent gotten them. Emailed them to ask about the orders but there’s no reply at all. Such irresponsible company, would appreciate if they at least give an estimation of the date of arrival for the products even if there’s delay. Worse if they are really a scam company.. very disappointed. Always giving the company the benefit of doubt that they are busy and not able to cope with the orders. However I feel that they could have managed customers’ expectations better by communicating with us over emails about the situation, even if they start off with a mass email first before responding to individual mails..

Fake company. Ordered Jan 28 2020. It is now jun 14th. They said the order is delayed due to the virus, offered a refund. I was willing to wait. A few months later, I ask for an update. Conveniently, right when I ask, they give me a tracking number that says my packages arrived at a shipping in Fremont on 5/2. Nothing whatsoever ever since. Emailed them saying I want a refund no response.

I ordered the Z-Flex Tilt Head for a company I saw on Facebook Modern Filmware on January 29th. I email the company on February 8th asking when I could expect my item to ship. I was told "Our demand for the product skyrocketed in the last couple of days and forced us to go on “backorder”. We are working on a mass production of inventory that will begin shipping out again on February 17th. This will be free expedited shipping to those who have been waiting patiently. If you would like a refund we can go ahead and issue one. Otherwise, a shipping number will be sent out to you on February 17th." On February 9th. At first, I was fine it wasn’t that long of a wait. I contacted the company on February 24th asking if my item has shipped. I was told "There are circumstances that are out of our control despite our careful planning. Unfortunately, our shipping schedule has been moved to the first week of March. We’ll be glad to issue a refund if you’d like to for all the inconvenience caused. Let us know how you would like to proceed with the order." On February 25th. At this point, I still wanted the item, so I decided to wait. Note that this was the second time they offered a refund. I next contacted them on March 6th to see if my item would be shipping soon as they said. I was told "We have started fulfilling orders and we’re shipping those orders that we received first. You’ll receive your tracking details once it’s ready to ship." on March 9th. I contacted the company again on March 25th expressing concern and asking if my item was going to be shipped. I was told ‘We’re so sorry for the late response. Currently, we are experiencing a high demand of backlogged orders due to logistics being delayed because of the Corona virus pandemic. Rest assured we are working to fulfill and get your order to you as soon as possible." On March 30th. On the same day, I expressed that I could not wait any longer, and would like a refund at this point. I was told "We’re so sorry for the late response. Currently, we are experiencing a high demand of backlogged orders due to logistics being delayed because of the Corona virus pandemic. Rest assured we are working to fulfill and get your order to you as soon as possible." On April 11th.I contacted them on the same day asking clarification on the “processed” and continuing to request a refund. I was told "Orders that are processed is getting orders ready for shipment. We are only waiting for the tracking number from our shipping carrier and we’ll send it over.

I understand that you were offered a refund, but we can issue a refund prior to your order being processed." On April 14th. I contacted them the same day expressing the fact that I have been waiting for over two months for an item with there being no end in sight. I asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge. I was told "Thank you for your email. Please accept our apologies for the delay. The reason for all these delays, is that as a result of Covid-19 and the impact it has taken to our business, we were forced to temporarily stopped our operations and worked with limited staff especially majority of our customer service team. The lack in response is not intentional and certainly is not done to frustrate our customers, but rather a result of the current pandemic. We have just started processing and fulfilling orders again and I am happy to inform you that your order has been shipped out. Here is your tracking link:(I took the link out). On April 20th. So I contacted the company on the same day still insisting that they give me a refund. And that brings us to today May 8th. The tracking number has not moved or done anything since I was originally given. At this point, its been almost 100 days. I don’t expect to see my money back or my item ever. I just wanted to get the word out there so no one else is wasting their time and money with this company.
