Type of a scam Online Purchase
Advertised on line for the sale of miniature dachshund puppies. Contacted them by entering info on their website. They sent an email back to me. We offered a deposit of $300.00 which they accepted I sent the funds via Western Union. The remainder of the amount was to be sent a week later and each time I contacted the seller Richard Thompson/ Stephen Henk, there was never a call back over the phone. It was via text or email and never answers my questions. I asked for an updated photo of the puppy and how he would be transported to my location. All I received was "Are you sending the money?" or OK to questions related to above. I went to Western Union to send the remaining funds yesterday, I provided the transaction number and sent a text to the seller Richard Thompson/ Stephen Henk had he received the funds and could he let me know who was the courier that would deliver the puppy. I never heard back I contacted Western Union later in the day and they had stopped payment on the transaction. They WU indicated it was because of fraud. WU said they could not let me know what kind of fraud it was refunded me the additional $312.50 from the second payment. This included the transaction fee of $12.50. I never heard back from the breeder and indicated if I did not hear back I would proceed with criminal charges and requested a refund of the original payment of $300.00 plus the transaction fee with WU.
