My computer froze with a pop up from Microsoft about a virus on my computer. It prompts you to dial the number to remove the message. I did so and gave remote access to my computer to remove message. Once “diagnosed” I needed software installed and I gave my name, address, and phone number. It wasn’t til they said only check payment would be “secure” i realized it was a scam. Waiting to see what type of fraudulent activity they use. I also have more photos of the activity on my computer. I will repost if/when money and or identify is stolen.

The caller sounded Indian by voice. Stating when I bought my computer. I was sold a defective safety protection plan that was placing viruses in my computer. His co. will send me a check for $149.00 and will replace the defective device. All I need to do is turn on my computer. I explained it was not hooked up at this time due to moving. He said thats ok he would wait. Then ask if it was a laptop. I then ask for his phone no. he stated 888-c21 then hung up. My caller ID stated 941-423-9413. I then called the B.B.B.. I am getting the scam calls frequently. At dinner time as many as 3 calls. Almost always Mexican or Indian voices. Let me know how we can catch these people.

They will call saying that your Microsoft Windows license has expired & try to get credit card information from you. Their calls are quite harassing & are only minutes apart. Please help BBB!!!
