Type of a scam Debt Collections
Someone called pretending to be from the city of Columbia saying they were part of a merchant business and that they were going to come to our restaurant (Ranch House BBQ) and shut our electricity off for non payment. I knew this was a scam because City of Columbia would never do that and we have a different company in charge of our electricity. They said they needed our credit card information and they wouldn’t shut it off. I told them no and they called back again later asking for the same thing. Needless to say, they didn’t shut our electricity off.
