Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was supposedly purchasing a truck and the lady wanted to go through ebay. I sent 1600.00 dollars in four gift cards to total that amount for the truck. I recieved a fake invoice from ebay. I never recieved any tracking number or anything. Today recieved another email wanting 1000.00 more for insurance to ship the vehicle. I have reported this to IC3.gov, also [email protected] This all looked really legit. I spoke to the supposed seller, also to the supposed customer support at ebay and everything seemed great until the transaction was sent. I really cannot afford to lose 1600.00 on a scam. My mother is terminally ill and she scraped to come up with the money to get us a vehicle and this is what happened. I have all documents and emails from both the seller and ebay and copies of sent payment, the actual cards and receipts. If there is any other info needed please let me know. These people need caught. Thanks so kindly!!
