Multiple telephone calls daily (5-8 per day) claiming to be from medicare. Always from different local numbers. They ask me to verify knee and back pain, or shoulder neck pain. I ask if they are from a medicare employee, "Yes, absolutely, I’m calling to give you your benefits". They have my name and birthdate correct. Yesterday I stated, if they were from SS/medicare they would have my benefit number. Caller then read off my new medicare benefits number as printed on my card. He had it exact. I tried to get more information but he told him privacy laws wouldn’t allow him to tell me more. I disconnected. Someone inside SSA, medicare, or medical offices must be selling this information to the scammers.

I received a call on 8-13-2020 around 12:05pm EST from 260-396-8709 male accent maybe asian and he said he was with Medicare and that he needed information from my card because they were going to send out new plastic ones. I gave him all the information on my card, what he definitely wanted was the 11 Medicare numbers on the card. I gave them to him and he said I would be getting a new card, and said I think a supervisor would be calling later to verify it, that someone was going to be calling me. He said this is legitimate, everything is ok that type of talk. He asked me questions, when I was born, who my doctor was, my name, address and all that. I didn’t understand why they needed my doctor info.

Caller claimed that all medicare cards were being deactivated and if i didn’t verify my personal information in order to get a new card, I would lose my benefits. Problem here is, A.) came across as a "cell phone" on caller-id B.) we don’t have Medicare.

I received a call last week the week of April 22, 2019 the name came up under Safelink and the name Mary Norres 9287575401. I answered the phone and the first hing she asked me is do I have that paper red, white and blue card. And I said yes. And she said they are going to send out a plastic one and they need my number. And I told her if you are sending out a plastic card, you should have my number. She said go look for it. And I said I don’t have it. And she said go look for it, I’ll wait it’s probably in your purse. And I said yes it probably is, and she kept saying she would wait. Then I told her I am going to call my counselor and find out about this plastic card, and you call me tomorrow, but I knew it was a scam. I was home when she called and didn’t answer her anymore. She had a middle eastern accent. That’s why I was alarmed because the week prior a middle-eastern guy called me and said I won $11 million and Mercedes Benz and he asked me what color did I want. I said red, and he said I’ll be at your house. He knew my address, and he said he would be here at Wednesday at 3:30pm and at that day/time I made sure my daughter and I weren’t home.

Received call, picked up because number listed on caller ID was same as on Medicare card. The caller had heavy foreign accent and wanted confirmation that I received my medicare card which I did not verify. Would not identify name, just that he was calling about the card. Wanted to verify information was correct. When I asked what call was about, continued to ask information regarding card. Hung up as I could tell by lack of professionalism, failure to provide name, and fact that government agencies would not ask for personal information over phone believed it was scam. Concern is that the number was spoofed as an actual medicare number on card.

I got a call on my business phone from a man who said "This is Medicare" and you recently inquired on your Medicare benefits. I’m not old enough for Medicare. I hung up and reported the call to TV and BBB.

I received dozens of phone calls from different numbers and different contact info claiming they were calling from UPS and wanting to confirm my address and my permission to deliver my new Medicare card via UPS. After many refusals by me in the phone call, they then stated that there would also be included in my shipment, free medical materials such as salves, creams, and braces. I still refused and continued to receive calls for several days, at least a dozen calls per day. Then, on the last day, a guy told me I could stop the calls if I would just accept "eligibility". All of the callers had Indian accents, most were men but a couple were women. In the background I could hear what sounded like a boiler room with many many people talking.

they call at all hours of the day and they claim they are calling from medicare, saying medicare wants to send a free back brace to me. When I inquire on who they are, who they work for they say medicare and then say they are from a physical therapy management company. When asked the name of the person, they give different names in the same conversation. When confronted by me that they are not medicare they fight back and laugh and argue and then threaten you that if you don’t respond to what they say they will continue to call everyday. The person even laughed after threatening me and told me there’s nothing I can do about it. I have received already about 4 calls, I asked to be removed from their list, but they keep doing it, I asked for supervisor and was laughed at and given an indian name and never spoke to any higher ups, I asked the location of their company I was told prakish and was told (quote)"prakish, par?? , do you even know where that is? what you going to do about it?" while the person laughed and again threatened me that will harass me!
