I get a phone call on a regular basis from Medical Services. The calls come to my landline. It is a recording. Sometime they call up to twelve times a day. Hi this is Amy with Medical Services. You have recently been approved for a medical alert. Press one to be connected. I just hang up on them. It is always the same call. The medical alert is for older people. The alert goes around your neck. I do not have their phone number. I don’t have caller ID.

I have received 7 calls today from this number asking about pain I am experiencing (not exp any pain) when I ask them to speak to manager they hang up and call back with another number just changing the last digit by 1 number!! I have blocked them several times!!

I get phone calls Monday thru Friday between 8-9 pm. They have foreign accents. They ask me questions related to a survey I took online re: pain. They say they are not selling anything but can get my insurance to cover costs.

While I was expecting a call from Veterans Affairs regarding co-pays for diabetes test supplies, I answered a call from a lady with very strong asian accent, with whom the conversation quickly became about diabetic testing supplies, the issue about which I had previously chatted with Durham VAMC. I repeated asked her if this call was related to the Durham VAMC, to which she would only reply that she was with medical services … She had my name, address, etc; and asked about the type of testing equipment, name of the doctor who last prescribed test strips for me, etc. When I finally asked her once again if she was with the VA, she answered no and I told her this call was over, and hung up.

Someone called asking to talk to me about the pain I have been experiencing. I asked what pain and they said the one in the arm and shoulder. I told them I had no pain and didn’t know what they were talking about and they hung up.
