Type of a scam Employment

I found out about this through indeed.com, it was a job posting. I received a phone call within a few days of applying, they had asked me to come in for an interview. They asked me to bring $100.00 deposit for my OSHA license. During the interview, the said I was hired but I needed to bring an additional $439.00 for licensing, uniform, and any other certifications I may have needed. I was reluctant at first, but I handed him my deposit for the course. The day of the course, I was at the security desk and they had informed me I was not registered for any course. I tried to get in contact with the gentleman whom i spoke with, but no respond. After two days of trying to get a hold of him, his office number no longer worked. The gentleman i was supposed to work with was named mister gomez.
