Received an invoice dated 4/26/19 from MCI that we do not use, they have our phone # and #’s that we supposedly called but we do not use them, we have Century Link as our phone provider. The acct # is our phone # and says "pay upon receipt" $7.74

They sent me a bill regarding tech support for my phone to Hawaii. They called originally a month ago regarding this. I can use my house phone, and, my cell phone to call Hawaii If I wanted to, for free! It entails 38 minutes for $84.65 with all the taxes included. You can ask some questions, and, they’ll hang up!

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
While at work we received a fax from a company claiming they work for MCI. MCI was bought out by Verizon about 10 years ago. So we immediately knew something was not right about this invoice. The invoice this company sent claimed they were billing us for a fax number that is not ours. When I called the person I spoke to was very vague and said they would note that the fax number was not ours, then hung up. We have not reached out to this company again.

Our business received an invoice for $265.79 from one of our desk phones that use a virtual phone number. The invoice reads, "The following calls were completed using MCI’s Network. The charges for these calls will ot be on any other telephone company’s invoice. Please pay upon receipt to MCI."
