I believe I have unknowingly been participating in a re-shipping scam. In early June I was contacted by email from an on-line recruiter telling me of a position available for a company that re-directs packages shipped bu USPS, FedEX and UPS. The job would require me to be at home 9 – 5, M – F to accept shipments from those carriers. I would then need to open the packages taking photos of the shipping labels, packing lists along the way. I would then need to repackage the item, upload the photos to the company’s website, download a new packing list and shipping label and then take the items to the designated carrier, obtain a receipt and then upload a copy again to the company’s website. The recruiter advised me to apply for the position via their website which I did.

On June 3, 2020, I received an email from Michael Miller of the HR Department of Maylix advising me that they wanted to interview me by phone for the position of “Distribution Provider” and the call would take place in the afternoon of the following day. I do not recall the name of the gentleman who phoned me but the interview took about 10 minutes. Then on 06/05/20 I received an email from Michael Miller of Maylix advising me that I had been accepted with a first month salary of $2750 and I would have to operate as an independent contractor. After the first 30 days my performance would be reviewed and if accepted, my salary would go to $3000 and I would be considered full time with the option of a monthly or bi-monthly payday. On June 5, 2020 I received by email, a completed conditional job offer to sign via Docusign and return. His return email advised me of their acceptance.

On Monday, Jun 8, 2020 I received an email from Katherine Davis advising me that she had been assigned as my supervisor. Her email included my login and password to use the CRM system. That system was used to communicate with her using its “chat” capabilities as well as all of the information I needed to process the orders in the method described above. Each order was assigned an inbound 6 digit number giving me all of the information on the order, the inbound tracking number, description of the item, etc. The tracking number was a direct link to the carrier’s website giving me all the info of the shipment.
I began processing orders immediately and during the following 30m day period a processed approximately 65 orders. To keep track of them, I created a file on my PC where I would create a folder of each order using its 6-digit file number as its name. The photos I took and sent to Maylix would be stored in its respective folder along with the PDF files containing all the shipping info for each shipment including both Inbound and outbound tracking numbers, customer names and addresses, shipper info and finally the shipping receipt. All of the outbound orders went by FedEx except for 3 shipments that went to the USPS because they were going international.

I only talked with my supervisor Katherine Davis 3 or 4 times, all of the other correspondence with her took place by the chat line that was part of their CRM system. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to it.

I have all of the emails described above as well as the 65+ folders described above and would be happy to share them with any law enforcement agency. Unfortunately the CRM system along with Maylix’s website went down so I no longer have access to it.

I have everything too! You should definitely report it to see if they can get caught & to proof you didn’t have anything to do with them. The police officer took one of my shipment for evidence but said they couldn’t really do much until there was more reports on it and get a case built to link everyones report who had been scammed by the same company.

Naomi – Aug 04, 2020

Also scammed by MAylix. worked for a month receiving and sending packages and never received a paycheck. This really sucks and has put me in a very bad financial position. Is there anything that can be done to get paid from these people?

Rose – Aug 05, 2020

Happened to me to and they have shut down the website and deleted their emails. We helped them send stolen merchandise to their home

Alisha – Aug 01, 2020

Same here! Scammed by maylix. Still haven’t received a pay check. Stared receiving packages on the 16 of June. First check was to be July 16. My emails come back can’t be delivered. The number I called said it is not receiving calls at this time.

Terrance – Aug 05, 2020

Joshua – Jul 31, 2020

Same here I haven’t received my check in the mail and I saw them on indeed this [censored] needs to stop because people are looking for home jobs because of COVID

Todd – Jul 30, 2020

Unfortunately I fell for the scam. I feel so lost right now because I gave these fools my information. I went back to the website and everything is down. I called the phone number but there is no answer. I just hope they don’t use my information and that I become a victim of identity theft. If anyone here has experienced identity theft will you please let me know. I did research before I filled anything out and I guess I should have done a little bit more research because I didn’t see any of these scam reviews until after it was too late. I feel like such a fool. I wonder if there’s any thing I can do to get back at these people.

I received an email in May, regarding this work from home opportunity. I answered them back to see if they were legitimate, and they sent me an email from an HR department ([email protected]). When I applied for the position, someone called me back, and gave me a brief interview. After a couple days, they told me I had gotten the job. I received further emails introducing me to a supervisor ([email protected]) and payroll department ([email protected]). After talking with the supervisor on the phone, I was given a crm to log on to. Packages came in through this, and I would inspect them, print up a new label, and ship them off. One of the packages I had to pay for because it was going to Pakistan. This cost me $187.09. After a month, which was supposed to be a probationary period, I was supposed to get paid on July 6th. It was supposed to take 7-10 business days to arrive. When I didn’t receive it, I emailed payroll again, and they claimed to cut another check. This one also has not arrived. I have tried emailing and calling hr and the supervisor, but not able to reach them. The CRM is now down, and keeps claiming that it is undergoing maintenance.

Adrian – Aug 05, 2020

Now they shut down website and erased all emails. Plus they have our info

Lucas – Jul 28, 2020

I was scammed by Maylix as well. It looked legit. I researched them and I didin’t find anything on the first few searches. I didn’t find this until after I did the work for them and I did not get paid. I didn’t lose any money I just lost my time and now I am jobless again. If it looks too good to be true, chances are it is.

I too was scammed by Maylix (Russian dark web activity) they are sophisticated and on the surface appear to be legitimate however when you dig deeper I realized the addresses referenced for Maylix and SSH Enterprises was a mail box in West Hollywood and a residential address in UT then I became suspicious. The police showed up to my door to inform me I was receiving a package the next day with stolen credit card data; they purchase the data on the dark web. Protect yourselves if you provide scammers with any of your personal data; it will most likely end up on the dark web for sale.

This company has scammed me also – Good thing is I didn’t loose anything. I started July 3, 2020 they have this setup which is believable. I actually begin to get Skeptical when the police should up to my door asking question about Suspicious packages and stolen credit card information. I was at the end of what Maylix calls probation never received a check. I’m going to recontact the investigation officer and forward all the information I have .

Lindsey – Jul 08, 2020

I too became suspicious of Maylix into two weeks worth of accepting packages; my gut was telling me something was wrong when I researched the physical addresses of Maylix and the parent company SSH Enterprises. Garland UT and 9000 sunset blvd west hollywood CA. Garland was a home and of course hollywood premier real estate in california; can’t find legitimate data on either company. So I’m walking away don’t expect a paycheck will be coming my way. Really unnerving getting scammed like this. I expected more.

A company by the name of Maylix approached me for a at home job. While it seemed like a good idea and I worked with them for about 10 days my parents grew suspicious of the company and when we dug in, we found that this company may not exist. There was nothing online about this company. I then asked the company to verify themselves and they provided me an FEIN, which when I called the IRS, they said they could not tell me anything about that FEIN. Then I called the SSH enterprise, a company which Maylix claimed owned them. The person from SSH left me a voicemail saying that they did not own any company. After all this, I took all the evidences and packages to the police. Please be aware of this company as it may look legit, but is a total scam. I have lost my SSN and other personal identification information to them and do not want any one else to fall prey to this.

I was eager to be employed with a company that offered a at home work position. I was suppose to accept packages delivered to my address and ship them out to the address they provide. I went out to buy the printer and everything needed. But then I read more into the company. There wasn’t any reviews, I went to type it in google search and didn’t get any results. That triggered red flags! Then I went on to look the company up by the IP address and fein number. The results were mind blowing. The company for the fein address and IP address is a dry cleaners on Uvalde rd in Texas. After writing this review I will be taking the packages and all the evidence I have to the police department. I gave these people my address, my social security number and my phone number. At this point I fear for my safety. I don’t know if they’ll come to my address and harm me for not completing the job or if the person they scammed will come to my address. I hope this helps someone else. NEVER AGREE TO WORK FOR A COMPANY CALLED MAYLIX!!!!
