First a woman was on the line, not very good English. She raised the topic of an extended auto warranty. As soon as I engaged on the topic, a gentlemen took over, identifying himself as "Cameron Penn". The only information I provided was zip code, name, and make of car. He was soliciting an extended auto warranty, which we already have and I told him so. It does expire soon, so he said a new warranty may take 30 days or 1,000 miles before it is active (in effect). He explained for very little down and monthly payments, we could get the warranty started now, whereas, through a dealership you have to pay it all up front. When I asked for his phone number so I could call him back he hung up. The called ID showed 9252080982, which I’m sure is not the actual number he was calling from.
