Type of a scam Government Grant
The scammer used a family member’s instant messenger to tell me about my aunt being a Facebook grant winner. She stated that she got $150,000 cash from the department of Health and Human Services. They help the retired, widow, divorced, disabled
and all workers. She told me to contact Mark Pratt by text and fill out a form. I did contact him so that I could ask questions. The catch was in order to receive the money I’d have to send an EBay gift card of $200. I was suspicious that it might be a scam from the beginning but was definitely confirmed at this point. I did not send any money and blocked him. I also let my aunt know that her Facebook account has probably been hacked and he has been sending messages to her family and friends.
