I found the site, mariakittens.com online searching for bengal kittens. corresponded via email, text, and tried to call a few times but never talked to a live voice. initially i left a voicemail with a man, who maria claimed was her husband. we went back and forth on kittens, their site seems to be a copy of someone else’s and they show 2 kittens available and the others sold. i said i wasn’t interested in those, so they mentioned a litter coming and we put down a deposit (i checked all sites to confirm not scammers etc.) via paypal. then she let me know when kittens ready we went back and forth she set up airport paperwork etc. and i paid final payment via paypal. got delta global tracking for pet to arrive in vegas, very legit seeming, then a small disclaimer that i needed to purchase pet insurance, fully refundable, to ship kitten. i didn’t agree, they wouldn’t and i requested refund. coincidentally they got sloppy and sent a text intended for me to a previous victim who called me and we exchanged stories. i then did research and compared all the names, numbers, emails, etc. i came across (see below). it’s a big scam. they request walmart to walmart or western union payment but i refused to do that so they took paypal. i have seen these emails on craigslist too. i noticed the maria’s site is still up but the email contact changed.
