Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I was called by someone who said I qualified for a loan. They told me they would send me a little bit of money. I was to use some and send them back the rest as a show of good faith, and to boost my credit score. I did as instructed. $800 was wired into my account. I withdrew $600 and went and got 3 prepaid Gift cards and sent them pictures. I was later contacted by my bank telling me my account was negative – the bank took my next paycheck to cover it and I can’t pay my bills.
