This individual used two accounts to post information about a craft and direct sales event happening at the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, AL Thanksgiving weekend, 2016. They sent out invoices to be paid within a certain time frame. The week before the event, the individual canceled and told everyone the event would be rescheduled to Easter 2017, but they would refund half the fee if we still wanted to participate. The Easter event was posted to Facebook and then removed a few days later. Contact by email and phone to the individual yielded nothing. The individual quit responding. The website has since been removed. The individual said they were operating a non profit organization to help local schools in the area organize events for fundraising purposes. In reality, the scammer took the vendor fees paid by everyone and took the money.
