Type of a scam Phishing
Person called our office, gave the name Kevin C***, calling from 202-860-2670 asked to speak with a supervisor concerning one of our employees. Claims that the employee will be served with legal documents and since they are not able to be served at the location they would have to contact the legal department of a company by the name of M & Associates-the legal department. He claims that if our employee does not make arrangements with this other company (they only have two attempts to serve him with these legal documents) then a warrant will be issued. However, information is very vague…call was very suspicious from the very beginning.
They called us back again today. Our research of this phone number has related it to a scam…not sure what they are exactly trying to access or how. Anyone ever has this type pf phone call?
