Type of a scam Tax Collection
Tax Officer Alex Robertson (who clearly had an Asian Indian accent) called saying that I had a Federal tax liability from 2011 and 2012 that is "applied every five years" but was not included when I prepared my taxes. I was given a tax ID number (***) and told that my unpaid tax was $1,843. Unfortunately, I ended the conversation before I was told how to pay the "owed tax".
