Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I complete Kroger surveys after each shopping trip. I was contacted via email to submit a survey to be eligible to be a secret shopper at Kroger. Once approved, they presented the opportunity like I would receive free groceries, as well as monetary compensation for completing a survey/report after my shopping experience. I was told I would receive my assignment and payment via USPS mail. Today I received the check FOR $1900, with instructions to buy hundreds of dollars worth of iTunes and Steam Gift Certificates from multiple retailers, including Kroger, Target, and Walgreens. I was to deposit the check, make the purchases, then mail to a mailing address that will be provided at a later time.
