I posted an ad on craigslist looking for a rental in Portland. I was sent an email by a person asking if I was still looking. I said yes and asked for details. The next email I received was more than just a little suspicious. The person stated that they owned the property but would not work with an agent, could not show me the place, and could send keys if I was interested once I sent money.
