Type of a scam Employment

I applied for a posting on Glassdoor.com and one of these emails contacted me for an interview. Asked me to message one of those other emails on Google Hangouts. Had an hour long interview with questions relevant to the job description and at the end of the interview offered me a job. Lots of red flags but I honestly had no idea scams like this existed, so I took it. It just seems like there are probably better/less elaborate ways to scam people, but what do I know? They forwarded me a contract to sign and asked for a copy of my driver’s license, which I shouldn’t have given, but the last place I worked asked for that as well to run a background check so I ignored the internal alarm bells. I’ve attached the email they sent me with the contract, listing all of the "equipment" I’d need to buy from their specific vendor once they mailed me a check to purchase it with. A quick google search has told me these check scams are super common. Just wish it hadn’t taken me so long to figure this out.
