Type of a scam Online Purchase
We came across this site called kittensbreederhome.net, and contacted them by filling out a form and leaving my email asking about prices for a cat named Cindy. They then contacted us back the same day later that night. This person then told us the available kittens on their site were discounted by 50% because they were expecting a new litter and wanted to reduce the work labor when the new litter arrived. So we continued to contact each other through email until I suddenly got a funny feeling that maybe I should do research on buying from online breeders and how to know if the person is a scammer. I came across MANY warning signs that were all too similar to the person I was contacting such as: poor grammar/spelling/English, wanted to be pre-paid through an app(s) called Zelle and CashApp, person was not licensed (claimed that his "family" bred animals as a hobby) and would not show animal medical records or licensing for proof or contact with a Vet, rushed the PAYMENT process, claimed 24 hour shipping, avoided my questions such as "can we videochat with the animal?" and "what shipping animal agency do you use?", used an Alias name such as: Samantha Gordner which we found out did not exist and when we called them after the payment failed a man with a HEAVY ACCENT answered, also put us in contact with someone who is in on the scam and claimed we can confirm with him that they’re a trusted breeder, and then after our first payment THANKFULLY FAILED he asked us to wire money to his alleged "Nephew", which he then told me was his "Son", money through Western Union. After he asked us to wire him money through Western Union, I knew for sure that this was a scam after all my research. His Western Union is: Andres Ferney Rodriguez Marin, Colombia, Risaralda, Pereira, 660001. Thankfully I became curious and did my research (and investigated) before I went any further with a successful payment after my failed payment, which I made sure was refunded to my bank account.
