Type of a scam Employment

I recently graduated from CSULB and I’ve been actively searching for employment using the Indeed website. I’ve filled hundreds of applications using Indeed. One in particular was my application to the "Harbert Oil Company" a "Receptionist/Personal Assistant. I received an email from "Joshua Edward Hazard" stating that he received my application and he was out of town but he needed my assistance. My job would be to run errands for him such as paying his bills. He told me my first task was to buy supplies for an St. Mary’s Orphanage Home in Texas due to Hurricane Harvey and to deposit money for two kids undergoing heart surgeries. He mailed me a check of $4,989.00 which I deposited to my account. The next day I withdrew $4,000.00 to deposit the money "to the lady in charge of the orphanage". The next day my bank account was at a $-4,000.00. I talked to a representative and they asked me to file a police report which I did. Unfortunately I had to use my student loan to pay the bank. I got scammed in the most vulnerable way possible.
