I contacted Jersey’s Finest Paving and Masonry to preform repair and rebuilding work on the retaining wall located at my home.On June 8, 2019, I entered into a contract with them for the repair and rebuilding work on the retaining wall located at my home. The total cost for rebuilding as described in the contract was $2615 at the time the contract was signed I made an initial down payment of $1,300.
In June 2019 they(Danny & Amy) informed me that they had one other customer ahead of my house and that work would start in June 19th. June 19th came and went and we had not heard from them or anyone on their team. We reached out several time with no avail. Finally they called us back stating that they needed 5 days with no rain before the project can begin. It was a very rainy July so no work had been started. August also came and went with no word from them and no response to any of our numerous phone calls. With no work initiated and no work completed, on September 13th, I contacted them and made an oral request for refund the $1300 down payment.
I received a message from them in November saying that they under priced the job and they needed more money. I explained to them that they violated our contract by not starting or completing any work and requested a refund. Danny texted me back saying that it would 60 days before he could get a refund from his supplier and to check back with him. It has now been well past the 60 days and I have not heard anything from either Danny or Amy Williams
