Type of a scam Phishing

Jerry Baker Book company targets elderly people by sending out a junk mail card telling them that they are going to send them a book in their series . If they don’t want the book they need to send that card back, telling them they don’t want the book. They then mail out a book and a bill. Expecting people to pay for a book that they didn’t order!!! They are expected to mail the book back or make the payment for the book. Most people don’t look at their junk mail. How is this legal? It’s no different than someone mailing out a paperclip to anyone and send them a bill for $10 and expect them to pay for it.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Dad died 12/30/2017. Mom is receiving bills in July and August 2019, for a book which my Dad never ordered or received. The 3rd letter is threatening to notify a collection agency and a lawyer about her refusal to pay for something she has no knowledge of, as well as notify Credit agencies.
