I was in the market for a new puppy. I was searching online for local breeders. The next morning, I received a text from someone claiming that I had sent an email inquiry about Pugs. Somehow, they knew I was looking for a pug. They sent me an email with several photos of pugs and a link to a website. I clicked on the link and it looked legit. I asked about one of the pugs and they said he was available. I compared the photo of the pug to the one on the website and I asked the person if the dog was available. They said yes and that they could ship the dog to me within a day or two. I wanted to surprise the family for Christmas so I was eager to make a deal. I guess in my rush to get the dog I ignore a few odd things. Needless to say, it was later in the day AFTER I sent payment through MoneyGram that I soon discovered that the photo that was sent to me of the dog I wanted was a photo used several times on different websites. I knew then that I had been scammed.
