Type of a scam Online Purchase

Jana Cattery’s website claims to sell pure-bred Russian Blue and Siamese kittens. They ask you on the site to answer basic questions about your living situation, what kind of kitten you would like, etc. They follow up by email ([email protected]), asking more questions about how you would care for the cat, all your contact info and address, etc. They explain they will send the cat with someone by plane, in a carrier in the cabin, rather than in luggage, and that they will drive the cat to your home. They reassure you the cat is pure-bred, well trained, has all his shots (very specific), will have vet papers, etc. They ask what bank you will use for payment by Zelle. They then follow up with a legitimate-looking contract for you to sign, on which you find their alleged physical address, a person’s name (Jones Kingsley), and a different email address for payment ([email protected]). With this info, we were able to search the internet, find others who had paid for a (non-existent) puppy at the same physical address and email address, and figure out it was a scam.
