Type of a scam Identity Theft
I was contacted by a foreign number on WhatsApp which came up as “James”. I initially thought it was just a wrong number. When I asked who it was he sent me an obviously doctored ID card for a U.K. diplomat that was photoshopped to list the name as James Melville. (See attached)
Also attached is the transcript of our conversation, the pope’s ID that I sent him when he asked for my ID (got off google) and the stock image he sent when I asked for a pic of him.
