I recently used a so called contractor that was recommended off this Nextdoor site. His name is Mark Jace with Jace Contracting. This business isn’t licensed or insured nor is it even registered as a business. After confronting him & asking him of proof of license & etc he didn’t want to provide any info & said that in fact the business is under another name, which is his “BOSSES” He’s a pathological liar & did unprofessional work. Demolished my front porch & left all the pieces with nails all over my front property going into my sidewalk & told me after the fact that taking away the debris wasn’t included in the overall cost. He’s unsafe & has no respect for my property or others at all. Front porch is all cut up in pieces, uneven composite, deemed unsafe by the city of Clifton. This was an insurance $$ project. Which he knew…took my money & did unfit work. I now have to rip out the entire porch again & redo it. And additionally, costing me entirely out of pocket at this time. Please DO NOT USE MARK JACE from a JACE CONTRACTING for any professional type of work. He’s only considered a handyman. I’ve recently filed a report with the police to get his correct information to proceed with a civil suit against him. Feel free to stop by to see his work before going forward. I can’t afford to redo it at this time due to his dishonesty & greed & being unemployed in a pandemic. He fully took advantage of me as a single ***.
