A man who called himself Ivan Chang contacted me after I’d viewed the above rental property on Apartments.com. That site appears to have notified him of my interest. I was intrigued because of the very low, below market rent on a beautiful place. I thought it was too good to be true and now I’m sure it is. My scam radar was up when he emailed me twice with grammar mistakes, etc., said he was out of town and couldn’t show me the property, but wanted to sent me the rental application, which I assume is a way to get my personal information. I have seen the same property on other sites like Zillow and Realtor.com with a different agent, phone number and a higher price.
