Total money lost $250
Type of a scam Government Grant
I received a call stating that I had been selected from a grant program to receive $9,000 initial processor (202 455-8426 EXT. 109 Lori) which she provided a Confirmation number, at that time I ask for numerous questions about the program and how this came about it was supposed to been a program conducted by the government where they give grant money to US citizen who has excellent records. The money is taxable depending upon your state however this is nothing the recipient are to worry about, you are to report the money to the IRS. The asked for your name, age and if you are employed the peoples that I spoke with sworn that this is legal. The requirement is to pay $250.00 and you had to purchase ITunes gift cards of the noted amount, you are to make purchase as a personal/do not activate (stating that this is the method of payment for your processing fee) upon purchasing the card you must call back and provide (Monica Lori Ext. 3007 ) the code on the back of each card. Then you are to call the Federal Bank 202 350-1207 Max Fletcher to setup payment how you would like to receive your money, (Weston Union, or Wire Bank to Bank) I was told that I could not receive the total amount Weston Union it would have to been to broken up and then it was late to make contact with Mr. Fletcher however the information received payment would be process and forward to Mr. Fletcher at the Bank and he would post the money the next day before 11:00, didn’t happen because they was asking for more money 9% of the 9,000 (825.00) because of something with the state that I live in AL. I called ITunes support desk and spoke with a representative and he asked for the confirm# provided by Ashley he confirmed that this is the method of payment and that I need to pay additional $250.00 for processing. I have spoken with these people several times to get my money back because they was not honest and I was not not obligated legally to any one or anything, Mr. Fletcher stated that he spoke with the grant department and I could not get my money back, he is asking for more money and I refused and asked if I could speak with the supervisor of the grant department, however he has not provided with the grant department number or contact person. This is the phone numbers I received calls from 202 455-4826, 202 630-5318, 202-350-1207.
