Total money lost $950
Type of a scam Home Improvement
Isaac Carter and Patricia May scammed an elderly with Alzheimer’s. He trimmed some trees and told her she had a leak on her carport roof and said he fixed it. He wrote a check from her account for the amount of $950.00 to Patricia May, the helper with him, then came back the next day and wrote another check out of her account to himself for another $950 to Isaac Carter. The first check he cashed and received the money. After that, her account was frozen by her daughter so when they went to cash the second check right when he left, he couldn’t get the money. The roof never had a leak and there is proof there was no work done on the roof. Saint Louis Park, MN police was contacted and they are working on the case. This happened on April 20,2019. As I caught him in the act, he was acting very suspicious and was so anxious to leave without finishing raking a pile (he forgot his tools). He wanted to quickly cash the second check and at that time I did not know he had a second check. The bank confirmed it.
