A person from a foreign country posing as IRS collection agency called me and told me that I had back taxes of $8900 including penalties and that they had issued an arrest warrant for me and had begun a lawsuit. The person’s name supposedly was John Ryan number 71702 from the Iris scam organization.
I immediately told them they were scammers and i was reporting them to the ScamPulse.com and they hung up on me.

Receive a persistent call from IRS collection constantly informing me that I Owe them . The amount that I owe if not paid I will be picked up by US Marshal ,all of my access will be frozen ,if I give them extra money money that day will take the debt off. I will not have to go to court . They had personal information on me ,so I begin to believe that this was true .so they gave me information and directions in order to pay this debt through Apple gift cards and I followed instruction found out too late that it was a scam so please if you get a call do not follow through.

Its a india foreign man. Strong accent. He say he from the IRS. He stated I need to pay $700 on a $3000 past due payment. He knew my last 4 of my social security, my name, phone number, and address. I cussed him out and he hung up.

This number called me several times saying that I owed $1100 to the IRS and that I have to pay them $500 through Walmart or I would be arrested in two hours. I was at work so I missed the call and I called them back. When I called them they were very mean saying that if I didn’t pay immediately that I will go to jail send it the line was connected through Washington DC. My mom says she has received a call from the same people saying that she owes money for back taxes and that she would be arrested. They refused to give me any information and threatened that if I didn’t pay the money that I will go to jail.

Caller stated they were a collection service for the IRS, stated I owe the federal government $2,500.00, that I need to pay this amount immediately or they will issue an arrest warrant for me right away. They said the back taxes are from 2012-2016 and I have to pay now to stop the arrest warrant. They asked for a Credit card or debit card number to pay off this debt today. I refused any information and stated I would be calling the BBB and IRS.

Telephone call message received where robotic adult "female" caller claimed the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me to collect unpaid tax. It said to call 845-303-9239 for more information. A second robocall came slightly later and made the same claim. This time it said to call 202-506-8852 for more information. Since I’ve recently retired and I know that the Federal government does not call anyone, I surmised that this was a scam intended to rob older people. I never responded to the calls so I don’t know if they would’ve sought money. Please stop these people!

A man with an Indian accent by the name of Lijoy Matthews said the IRS did a random audit and found that I have did Tax Fraud for the years of 2009-2015. He went into full length of what they found ($ amount) and my options of how to resolve it. However, as I panicked, I told the man I couldn’t understand his accent and this seemed to be a definite mistake so I’d like to talk to someone without accent. I also told him I never received anything in the mail. The man grew frustrated and finally transferred me to what seemed to be an automated machine. Since I still couldn’t understand I hung up. Then, they called me 5 more times but I didn’t answer. When I checked my VM again, the man was threatening me to answer the next time they called or he’d have to file an arrest warrant for me. He called me from two different numbers. First with a 213 area code and then a 626 area code. They did not get attempt to take money from me but it could’ve been because we didn’t get that far into the conversation because I could not understand him. I gave him by DOB so I’m just worried they might do something that affects my credit, etc.

Calls started at 6 am, 6/13/2016 saying to call 202-595-9381. I did and they said they were the IRS Collection and they had sent 2 notices about tax fraud and this was the final notice. They wanted information about my bank account and I refused to give it to them. Then they said a warrant would be issued to the county and the sheriff would come get me.

Received a call on May 24, 2016 at 11:55 am from Officer Daniel Wilderman phone number 202-754-8179. Stating my case number is CF93271 regarding a criminal lawsuit by the IRS. Tried calling back and all circuits are busy.
