Type of a scam Tax Collection
Had a message on my phone that the IRS was suing me. I called and played along. He wanted by attorney’s phone number. I asked why he needed that. I asked the amount and he said $1000.00. I then proceeded to ask what year this was for and he said 2009 to 2014. I stated I have never received any notification. He said they had sent a person to the house twice but no one was home and the IRS had no other alternative but to sue. He had our names and address because he said he would have to pull up the file when I asked the amount.
I used a feeble voice initially but once I heard all this I change my tone and said he must think I am stupid to think that I would fall for such a scam — then silence.
