Type of a scam Tax Collection
Man called and said he was an officer from the IRS and they were calling to inform me that they are about to file a law suit for failure to pay our taxes. He gave a number to call (213-426-1497). Sounds to me like one of the scams ya’ll have been talking about for some time.
He didn’t give his name. Mispronounced Internal and Revenue. Sounded like he had marbles in his mouth. Gave no indication that he knew who we were and gave no other ID information.
I am going to ignore it. I assume ya’ll would want to know. Is there anyone else that I should contact?

Type of a scam Tax Collection
There was a voicemail on my phone claiming to be an officer from the IRS (it was a machine not a real person.) The message was from 1(213)-141-5163 and stated that I was being sued by the IRS. It said to call back at 1(209)813-4131.
