The owner of Iron Works Plus, LLC, described by many victims on Yelp and Google as a scam artist, goes by Rafael Aaron Segovia. We took a picture of his driver’s license on the day we gave him a $1350 deposit check for a gate we wanted to put in to prevent our 3 year old from running into the street. That was 6 months ago after he solicited his services via Facebook, and we haven’t been able to reach him since. We spoke to his "part-time" secretary Rose who claims they mailed a refund, but it’s been 3 weeks and we haven’t received anything. A reminder to all of the victims here – CA state Small Claims Court allows you to sue for up to $10,000, if you are an individual or a sole proprietor. That should take care of any money you paid, plus expenses incurred while trying to recover your $$, according to our attorney. And let me tell you that it has been a long and expensive journey so far. It would’ve been much less expensive for Iron Works Plus and the owner Rafael Aaron to just refund our original $1350.
