Type of a scam Employment

Received an email from a David Williams to become a "Mystery Shopper" When Replying by placing the cursor

an EMAIL it directs you to a Mystery Shopper link and asks questions concerning your location, age, address, etc.

saying they will see if you qualify as a shopper./ After a few days I received a letter from "Intouch Insight Inc." saying

I was acceptable and would be receiving a package in the mail with shopping instructions. I received a Priority Express Envelope today via USPS with a letter and Cashier’s Check for $2340. Letter says to deposit the check and take out $300 as a fee then gives lots of instructions about going to certain stores, none of which are in my area, choosing two stores and purchasing two (2) Reloadit prepaid cards for $500 each at each store, service charge being $3.95 per card. Whatever change is left if for gas. Obviously this whole thing is a scam. I have not done anything with the check or letter at this time.
