Type of a scam Debt Collections
I received two phone calls today:
1. From International Processing Solutions (866-410-0056) stating that they were an arbitration company on behalf of Cardinal Management regarding claim # 3501402. $400- now $550 w/interest and fees
2. From VPS Solutions (Vera Durham Singh) (901-296-9229) stating that they were an arbitration company on behalf of Titan Group Limited. $300- now $480 w/interest and fees
They verified the last 4 digits of my social security number. Then explained that I owed a balance from a payday loan in 2011 and was in breach of contract with their client. However, at that time, I was using a different last name, lived at a different address, and worked for a different company than what they showed on their records. When I asked them for some sort of proof or documentation for this, they stated that the only paperwork they could provide was a paid-in-full document once I paid the balance owed. The wanted me to set up a payment plan to settle out of court. I told them that I would not pay anything until I received proof that this was something I actually owed. They ended the call stating that I would have to deal with this in court now.
