Type of a scam Debt Collections

A company by the name of International Processing Solutions who claim they are based in Florida, has contacted me numerous times regarding a "debt." Their information was very sketchy and the original person i spoke with read my social security number to me. If there is a debt i need to address, I want to address it, but i want to feel safe knowing that it is legit. I don’t think this company is legit. Everything about them reads fraudulent. They sent me a verification of debt letter to my email but it wasn’t to me! It was to another person with my first name. They gave me a better business number: 1279603347 and claimed they were registered as a collections agency even though they are not, but are arbitration. How do i handle this? I mean, they have my information. My social!

Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a call from a woman claiming to be from International Processing Solutions stating that I owed $750.00 on a payday loan I took out in 2011 with SGQ, LTD. When I told her I had never taken out a payday loan, and I wanted to see paperwork where I supposedly signed for this loan, she was unable to give me any more information. She claimed to only have an amount. I asked her to email me any information she had and about 18 hours later, she sent me a generic letter with International Processing Solutions listed. I contacted someone from the actual IPS company and he informed me that they have had a lot of complaints and have recently filed charges against these people. I was even given the card of a police officer with the case number I could contact who is handling this case. It’s all a complete scam.
