Type of a scam Employment
I received a call for a job position as a personal assistant and was interviewed over the phone. I then was contacted via email regarding the position and how a new office was opening in the downtown area of Austin,TX. The scammer mentioned a check would come in the mail and would provide me with a tracking number to purchase office supplies for the new office to open. What was odd was that the training or orientation was to take place September 4, 2017, which is labor day. I mean, who works on Labor day? So, that is when I realized it was all a scam. The website also has some sketchy information and did not seem legit at all. This is the second scam I have experienced in my lifetime and it gets me sick to my stomach.
